Storm Water Management...

Our company has provided storm water management and analysis on a number of projects using a variety of BMP's such as underground storage, roof-top & rain gardens, bio-detention, etc.   Example projects...

UW-Systems Storm Water Management Planning-Wisconsin Dept. of Administration  NAI is currently involved with a storm water management planning study for three University of Wisconsin campuses; Milwaukee, Parkside, & Whitewater. The project involves reviewing each campus’ current natural and constructed storm water conveyance system, existing and future development, pertinent WDNR and local codes and ordinances, and then recommending solutions for existing problems, best management practices to improve water quantity and quality issues, and ways to be in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Headquarter Storm Water Treatment-Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) NAI performed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for the District’s parking lot runoff to establish storm water peak flows and volumes. These peaks and volumes formed the basis of several low-impact Best Management Practices to be implemented at the District’s Parking Lot.

Storm Water Management Plan-Howard Purification Plant Entrance-City of Milwaukee The project involved the preliminary design of three best management practice (BMP) alternatives followed by the final detailed design of a BMP chosen by the City of Milwaukee Water Works staff.  NAI was involved with preliminary information gathering, hydrologic & hydraulic analysis, water quality modeling, preparing three BMP concepts, preliminary & final cost estimates, preliminary & final drafting, and QA/QC services.

Highland Park Housing Development-Housing Authority of Milwaukee The City of Milwaukee Housing Authority is in the process of redeveloping a 3-city block area, which contains dilapidated high-rise housing developments and is disconnected from the surrounding community.  The area will be transformed into an auspicious, revitalized, mixed income community by means of replacing the current development with single-family homes, an elderly home, and green-space. NAI is involved with erosion control and site grading design; drainage design; storm water management planning; the layout, coordination, and design for utilities, site civil work, & streetscaping; and construction engineering services.
